This client was looking to throw an exceptional and off the wall event to celebrate a joint 40th birthday party. The exceptional and unique Gilgamesh restaurant and bar located in Camden Town was the chosen venue and the VIP area chosen as providing the perfect, intimate layout in which to throw 'the' party of the year!

The event started on an exceptional foot with the brief to create a complete event brand which was conceived by our design agency and included an exotic invitation welcoming guests to a flash website complete with mood music and a RSVP page, the site would also feature a post-event photo-gallery. The branding featured at the events on the venues plasma screen staff & crew t-shirts, on stickers and on the going home bags.

The venue's interior features incredible hand carved wooden panels along with matching seating booths and bar transforming the space into a little piece of Thailand; however it is quite flat and dark, which was the exact opposite to our birthday girls. A bright and vibrant draping and lighting installation was carried out, adding exceptional colour to the space, a palette of red, yellow, blue, purple & gold was used with the seating booths being closed in to create tented areas, covering up of the windows which looked both outside and into the main restaurant. LED light boxes where placed along the length of the walls and inside each of the tented booths projecting bright and vivid colours from the same palette on a slow fade pattern.

Guests where greeted by our tranni door host(esses) who checked they where all 'on the list' and where on hand to make sure everyone was having a great time, guests where treated to exceptional henna tattoos whilst they grooved to the laid back sounds of Organic Jam's Dj & Sax combo.

As the evening progressed the music increased in tempo and volume as the party was whipped up by a specially formed party band from our custom stage which was constructed to fit within the distinct space, the bands sets where bridged by our resident Impulse Dj's Larry & Danny who played from a handpicked play list of the girls favorite tracks from the past 40 years.

The evening was not complete without a visit to the huge elephant ice sculpture offering multiple vodka luges before guest left with there very own going home bag with a baby bottle of champagne, colouring in book and tube of bubbles!
