This leading financial services firm tasked Impulse Events with producing a fun, team building day close to central London.

The venue chosen was Old Deer Park in Richmond due its excellent transport links, vast outdoor space and spacious club house.

The event consisted of three main components, a business presentation, a team building activity and a fun activity.

Delegates arrived to a breakfast of bacon butties, pastries, fruit, coffee and fresh juices before being sat down, conference-style for the presentation. For the presentation itself, Impulse provided a PA system and several plasma screens positioned around the room. This session gave the senior partner a great opportunity to update the team on what was going on within the company in a fairly informal setting.

After the presentation, delegates were split into their 6 social groups and handed out colour coded t-shirts based upon their group. They then ventured outside for our main team building activity ? Dino Dash! This consisted of the teams being split up into smaller groups of twelve, they then had to piece together a dinosaur on wheels and then ride this across an assault course. The key teamwork skills involved were Communication, Planning a strategy, Role allocation, Collaboration, Decision making, Leadership, Trust and respect

Whilst half of the group participated in Dino Dash, the others had to build a catapult with the task of firing a tennis ball as far as possible! A highly competitive activity. On completion of the team building, and the taking of scores, guests returned to the clubhouse for a buffet lunch.

After lunch everyone returned outside for a highly entertaining version of 'It's a Knockout'. Again in their teams delegates battled it out over a water based assault course which included dressing up as an inflatable chicken and climbing a rope ladder! For those who were feeling less energetic, Impulse designed a quiz which gave these delegates the chance to earn further points for their team. The finale of the 'It's a Knockout' was a traditional pole joust over a small 3 ft deep pool.

Exhausted it was time to return to the club house for prize giving, a delicious BBQ, some well earned liquid refreshment and a boogie!!!
