This leading charity needed to create a new event in which to entertain its supporters whilst providing the mechanism to raise substantial donations. A casino evening was devised where guests play for a collection of exceptional prizes, also donated, but pledge to the charity in return for playing chips.

Impulse supported this event with its event design services working alongside the charity and its selected caterer to devise the best layout for the room enabling guests to be as close the gaming tables and food stations and bars as possible, whilst also making sure that there where seating areas for guests to be able to relax at. The room layout was designed using our in-house event design software Vivien allowing accurate plans to be created and edited in both 2D and 3D.

The chosen venue perfectly suited the theme with its elegant grandeur and original features, harking back to the great gaming halls found in the 1950?s. This formed the foundation for the evening?s atmosphere which was key to making sure guests where relaxed and in the spirit of the event so the lighting was key. All of the gaming tables, food stations and bars where accurately lit to create the desired lighting levels in each of these locations whilst not generating too much ambient light creating the moody ambience of a gaming room, the space was warmed with dark red and purple hues.

The mood was kept up beat throughout the night by one of our resident Djs who specialises in funky and upbeat background music combining acid jazz, 70?s funk with the Café del Mar style house music creating a unique blend, he was joined later in the evening by the sassy Nicky our live saxophonist who grooved with the Dj.

The event was a huge success raising in excess of £100,000 as well as inventing a unique fund raising tool for the charity.
